Who We Are

Latitude Yachting Limited

Latitude Yachting Limited is a privately owned New Zealand company, based in Auckland. Latitude Yachting offers luxury charters catering to the top end of the charter market. Auckland’s Haurauki Gulf offers a beautiful cruising ground with many idyllic islands to explore. Further a field is a magic coastline all the way North to the Bay of Islands offering the untouched paradise of Great Barrier Island, making Auckland one of the most interesting and varied sailing destinations in the world.

Latitude uses Bénéteau sail boats in their charter fleet, and they have their own production standards with design enhancements to cater for the rigors and demands of a charter vessel. These enhancements cater for simplicity of operation, reduced maintenance, and go a long way to preserving the value of a vessel for its owner during the period of charter work. The success of Latitude’s charter scheme is reflected in their commitment to provide a luxury holiday with excellent service on a beautifully maintained boat.

Latitude Fractional Fractional Limited

A wise friend once told me, “Common sense prevents people from owning Boats”. But it wasn’t until I owned one myself that his wisdom ftilly sunk in.

Few people deny the pleasure of cruising around on a luxury boat, but that satisfaction often comes at a tremendous cost in terms of time and money. Today many people are questioning the sensibility of owning expensive boats that sit idle most of year. Research shows that the average boat owner only uses his vessel 30 to 35 days per year, yet he bears the unpleasant burden of 365 days per year of depreciation, insurance, berthage, and maintenance expense. For most, it’s a real boating dilemma.

A business has now emerged to address this very problem. Boating enthusiasts now have a viable option available to them which can alleviate the high costs and hassles associated with traditional boat ownership and still afford them considerable amounts of time on the water.

The alternative is called Fractionali Fractional Ownership. The concept is not new, but in fact has existed for years in the private airplane industry. World renowned investor Warren Buffett, chairman of Berkshire Hathaway, purchased his first fractional jet in 1995 and three years later bought the company. Now his company is the world’s leading fractional jet company and part of a multi-billion dollar per year industry.
